The measure of any piece of art is gauged by the initial reaction of the viewer.
My goal is to merge the heart with the art.
Communication between me and the clay is a quiet process.
Years of anatomical and kinetic studies allow my hand and eye to move intuitively, allowing for a deeper,
spiritual intellect to help create the sculpture before me.
The essence of the details of the sculpture emerges from this quiet place;
a wedding ring, a gap in a vest, a smirk or a smile becomes an integral part of the heart of the art of the sculpture.
This gift of sculpting that was given to me is honored and appreciated each time I hold a piece of clay in my hand.
That smallest piece of clay, is part of my heart and my home I have been given and driven to share.
